Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the EventDesk platform, provided by EventDesk Technologies LLP ("EventDesk", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using EventDesk to run an event, you ("Organiser") agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, your organisation.

2. The service

EventDesk provides event registration, ticketing, onsite check-in, badge printing, hospitality management, sponsorship tracking, an event website builder, and WhatsApp-based attendee communication. Features available depend on the plan you subscribe to.

3. Accounts & responsibilities

• You are responsible for the accuracy of event details, ticket pricing, and content you publish through EventDesk.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account.
• You must comply with applicable law when collecting attendee data, including obtaining any consents required to contact attendees by email or WhatsApp.

4. Payments & fees

• Ticket payments are processed through our payment partners, Razorpay and HDFC SmartPay, under their respective terms.
• Platform fees (subscription and/or per-ticket fees, as described on our Pricing page) are charged to the Organiser according to the plan selected.
• Prices shown are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

5. Refunds & cancellations

Refunds for event tickets are governed by the refund policy each Organiser sets for their own event. EventDesk is a platform provider and is not the seller of tickets; disputes about ticket refunds are between the attendee and the Organiser, except where EventDesk is separately responsible for a platform error. Subscription fees are billed according to the plan terms agreed at signup.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use EventDesk to:

• Run fraudulent, illegal, or misleading events or ticket sales.
• Send unsolicited messages that violate WhatsApp's or any messaging provider's policies.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the platform.

7. White-label & event websites

Where EventDesk provides a white-labelled event website, the Organiser is responsible for the content published on it. EventDesk reserves the right to suspend a site that violates these Terms or applicable law.

8. Intellectual property

EventDesk retains all rights to its platform, software, and branding. Organisers retain rights to their own event content, branding, and attendee data, subject to the licence needed for EventDesk to operate the service on their behalf.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EventDesk is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, including losses arising from event cancellations, payment processor issues, or third-party service disruptions (including WhatsApp or payment gateway outages).

10. Termination

Either party may terminate an account as described in the applicable plan terms. EventDesk may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practical.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Telangana, India, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of EventDesk after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
